Ansel Lim (Ang An-Sel)

About Me
I was born in 1999 as Ang An-Sel, but later changed my name to 'Ansel Lim' in
December 2020 to reflect my step-dad's surname when my mum remarried.

Choir (2007-2015)
As a choir member for almost a decade, Ansel became adept in reading solfage and musical notations.He sang in the alto section throughout his years in choir and got the chance to perform
on various stages outside of school, such as the Victoria Concert Hall, Kallang Theatre, the Star Vista, the Esplanade etc.
He took part in the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) 4 times, and together with his fellow choir mates attained 1 Silver (2008), 2 Gold (2010, 2013) and 1 Distinction (2015).

As the captain of the school international chess team, he planned training sessions and encouraged the team during competitions.

Hall Track (AY20/21, team manager)
As the team manager, Ansel organised team bonding activities outside of training. Due to the Covid-19 pandamic, the annual Interhall Games was cancelled, as such, more had to be done to motivate track members to
continue training.

Ansel is currently a sophomore majoring in English literature at NTU. Since primary school, always wanted to study the subject at a higher level and apply my knowledge in the various fields into my works and analysis of how writings and art changed through the ages.
